Product Design & Prototypes | Tools & Dies | Stampings The CAD centre at Iris, besides providing support for die design work, does Professional Product Design and Electronic Prototyping to international standards. This capability helps customers to substitute sheet metal parts and plastic/ castings with each other.
The centre simulates the functional criteria and performance of the part using Finite Element Analysis and prepares the groundwork for simulating the forming process using software like Optris, AutoForm or Pamstamp.  The solid modeling, surfacing and FEA capabilities in the CAD centre, using SDRC I-Deas and Pro-Engineer platforms, help the customer optimise design, cost and performance in a systematic and well-engineered manner.
This capability is further backed by prototyping services to physically confirm the electronically simulated design. |
